Our Story
The Journey of Project Positive Change
For Michael Scott, service runs deep. Coming from a family with a long tradition in military, law enforcement, medical, and government service, he grew up understanding the weight of duty, sacrifice, and resilience. His father served on nuclear submarines and later retired as a peace officer, as did his mother. Like many who serve, members of his family suffered from PTSD, and some were lost in service. Their struggles were a constant reminder of the gaps in care, the stigma surrounding trauma, and the urgent need for better support systems.
The Mission Begins: 2012
In 2012, Michael faced his own life-threatening health crisis. Conventional medicine provided few answers, leaving him searching for solutions outside of the allopathic system. His journey of healing led him to alternative and holistic therapies, but it also opened his eyes to a broader crisis among veterans and first responders. Too many were suffering in silence, without access to the support they truly needed.
Determined to make a difference, he threw himself into veterans’ rights advocacy, alternative healing, and direct community support. From feeding homeless veterans to providing clothing, resources, and emotional support, he did whatever he could to help those forgotten by the system.
But it wasn’t just about offering short-term relief—he saw the need for real, systemic change. That meant finding ways to connect nonprofits, bridge gaps in services, and create long-term solutions.
A Global Movement for Healing & Change
Over the next decade, Michael took his mission worldwide, working to expand awareness, build networks, and create real solutions:
He spoke at conferences, universities, and global health forums, sharing knowledge with leaders in traditional medicine and mental health.
Became a volunteer service officer for the American Legion.
Served as a SAL Commander, Chaplain, and Legion Riders officer.
Collaborated with nonprofits, researchers, and practitioners, uniting organizations doing powerful healing work.
Became involved with the UN and WHO, advocating for holistic approaches to trauma care on an international scale.
Through these experiences, one truth became clear: healing isn’t just about the body or the mind—it’s about the whole person. And true change happens when we create spaces where people feel safe, supported, and empowered in their journey.
Project Positive Change: A Sanctuary for Healing
Project Positive Change (Project PC) began in 2012 as a grassroots effort—helping in any way possible. Over time, it became clear that a more structured organization was needed to expand the mission. In 2017, Project Positive Change was officially registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, dedicated to blending holistic and evidence-based therapies to support veterans, first responders, and trauma survivors.
Through the development of Positive Change Centers across the U.S., we are building a network of healing spaces that provide:
Sound Healing & Meditation – Using vibration and frequency to regulate emotions and release trauma.
Cacao & Sound Ceremonies – Sacred gatherings that foster emotional connection and healing.
Dirt Therapy & Nature Immersion – Connecting with the land through gardening, nature walks, and outdoor healing.
Movement Practices – Tai Chi, yoga, and breathwork to restore balance between the mind and body.
Community & Career Support
Helping veterans and first responders reconnect, find stability, and move forward.
